Privacy policy

Who we are
OddsHoofer is a football odds comparison site operated from the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect, and why
Your email address
If you ask to be notified when we launch, we store the email address you give us. We use it for one thing: to email you once when the site launches. We do not sell it, share it with bookmakers, or add you to any other mailing.
The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time and we will delete your address.
Analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get used. This is optional, it is off unless you turn it on, and the site works exactly the same either way. The lawful basis is your consent. See our cookie policy for the detail, including how to change your mind.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard technical information about requests, including IP address and browser type. This is used to keep the site running and secure, and is not used to identify you or build a profile. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a working, secure website.
What we do not collect
We have no accounts and no logins. We do not ask for your name, date of birth, address, or payment details, and we never ask for the credentials of any bookmaker account. If a page appears to ask you for any of that while claiming to be us, it is not us.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of processors to run the site: a hosting provider, a database provider hosting data in the EU, and an email provider used to send the launch notification. They process data on our instructions only. If you accept analytics cookies, Google receives that data as described in their own policy.
We are an affiliate site and may earn commission when someone signs up with a bookmaker through us. That happens by way of a referral link; we do not pass your personal data to bookmakers.
How long we keep it
Email addresses are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until twelve months after the launch email is sent, whichever comes first. Analytics data is retained by Google for up to fourteen months. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
- withdraw consent at any time, without giving a reason
Get in touch and we will action it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Age
This site is about betting odds and is intended for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we hold data about a child, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes to how we use your email address will be notified to you directly.
